Nolensville Knights pitcher Jimmy Evans was in fine form, leading his team past the Austin Black Mambas, 3-1. Picking up the save was Ján Ïtor, his 11th. Nolensville raised its record to 42-42 with the win.
It could have been a different outcome for Nolensville, had it not been for Dan Webb, the 26-year old left fielder . Webb contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the seventh inning to put Nolensville up, 2-0.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Evans said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
