The Austin Black Mambas and Nolensville Knights played a tight game with the hosts claiming a hard-fought win.
The Austin Black Mambas defeated the Nolensville Knights, 3-2, in M3L Triple A action at Mamba Park. Austin pitcher Steve Denton had a standout performance. Stewart Hall, credited with the win, is now 2-0. He allowed no runs on no hits.
Cecil Hanson was the walk-off hero for Austin. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Black Mambas center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
Hanson attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
The 9th-place Black Mambas sport a record of 38-45.
