Knights Drop Red Pandas, 1-0
|
The Nolensville Knights got a stellar performance from pitcher George Battle, who handcuffed the Sioux Falls offense en route to a win, 1-0, at The Bamboo Forest. In 8 innings, Battle surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 3. He allowed no runs. The 5th-place Knights are 40-41.
Nolensville relied on the hitting of David Davis to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Knights on top, 1-0. For the game, Davis had 1 home run and 1 single in 2 at-bats.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Sioux Falls skipper Robert Dickinson.
