Saboteurs Bridle Turbeaus, 3-1
|
The Toledo Saboteurs picked up a win at Toledo Backyard Park, courtesy of Jimmy Wilson. The right-hander helped his team stop the Gulf Coast Turbeaus, 3-1. Gulf Coast falls to 1-7.
The Saboteurs got a big at-bat from third baseman Rich Pope. For the game, Pope was 2-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 2nd double of the season gave Toledo a 2-1 lead.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Wilson told the Toledo Daily News.
