Sunset District Gets 2-0 Win
|
In a low-scoring contest, Sunset District pitcher Ed Clark was marvelous in his team's 2-0 win. Clark, the winner, moves to 3-1. He threw 5.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 4 walks. Aubrey Curry converted his 6th save in 6 tries.
Sunset District relied on the hitting of Kevin Neal to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a solo home run in the top of the second inning to put the Fog on top, 1-0. For the game, Neal had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
Neal called the win "a collective effort."
