Darwin McGinnity never let the Turbeaus get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his changeup, to pitch the Saboteurs to a win, 2-0. McGinnity, now 1-0, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 2, walking 1, and allowing no runs. With the win, Toledo is 2-5.

Pancho Achio dealt the Turbeaus a blow in the bottom of the fifth. Batting with the bases loaded and Toledo leading 1-0, Achio hit a first pitch changeup for a run-scoring single.

McGinnity said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
