Athletic Club KC starter Gabel Ambrosius pitched well against the Alaskan Humpbacks at Sea World. The left-hander led his team to a win, 6-3. The save went to Jorge Guarte, his 3rd this season. The 6th-place Reserves are now 45-49, the Humpbacks 43-51.

Sam Jones, the 24-year old catcher , had a direct impact on the outcome. Jones contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the second inning to put Athletic Club KC up, 2-0.

In postgame comments to the Athletic Club KC Herald, Jones said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
