The Monongahela Monsters scored a tight 5-4 win versus the Hialeah Dodos at Timber Hawks Ballpark. Monongahela pitcher Júlio del Bosque held his own in the contest. With the win, Monongahela raised its record to 40-33.

Monongahela won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. With one out and Mike Park on the mound for Hialeah, catcher Shao Qigang hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Monsters fans to their feet.

"We did enough to win," said Qigang.
