Starting pitcher Patrick Amador pitched well enough to help the Alaskan Humpbacks beat the Pennsauken Flyers, 6-5. Dave Williams earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 1.2 innings. His record is now 2-0. The Humpbacks raised their record to 25-31.

Alaskan won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. With no outs and Eric O'Slattery on the mound for Pennsauken, third baseman John Simpson hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Humpbacks fans to their feet.

"This place sure got loud," said Kelly Flint, the Alaskan manager.
