The performance of Alden Hall proved critical in helping Salt Lake City beat Athletic Club KC, 3-1. The Buzz catcher went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. The Buzz raised their record to 19-35.
Salt Lake City took a 2-1 lead on Hall's 3rd home run of the season. The solo home run, which he hit off Jorge Guarte in the top of the seventh, propelled Salt Lake City to the win.
In comments to the Salt Lake City Daily News, Hall admitted that he doesn't always push himself. "But the results," he said, "speak for themselves."
