Blimps Win, 4-2, at Lancaster

The Akron Blimps racked up a win at Farmers Field, bumping off the Lancaster Farmers, 4-2. Raúl Nieves, who started for Akron, pitched effectively for his team. Nieves got the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 6 hits and walked 4 over 6.1 innings. Nieves allowed 2 runs. Chris Logan finished the game for Akron and earned his 1st save.
Akron used a well-timed hit by Ben Walters to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a run-scoring double in the top of the third inning to put the Blimps ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Nieves.
The loss drops Lancaster to 0-3.
