The inspired effort of Austin catcher Tony San Pedro was not enough to prevent a loss, 6-4, to the Milton Dogfish Head. San Pedro went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The winner was Milton reliever John Boyd, now 3-0. The loser was Duane Coleman. Kamiel Wabeke collected save number 16.

It could have been a different outcome for Milton, had it not been for Puck Broekhuizen, the 22-year old left fielder . Broekhuizen contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the ninth inning to put Milton up, 5-4.

Broekhuizen told the media after that game that the mood in the clubhouse is "extremely positive" after a win like that.

Milton is now 49-19, 5½ games up in the Menard's AAA.
