Fog Sink Golden Cranes, 6-2
|
Al Miller had a good game, but he could not keep the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes from falling, 6-2, to the Sunset District Fog at Fog Park. The Santa Barbara designated hitter was 2-4 with 2 home runs in the loss. Miguel Núñez got credit for the win, improving to 4-3. He allowed 2 runs on 6 hits in 6.2 innings. Aubrey Curry earned the save for Sunset District, his 1st of the year.
In the bottom of the seventh, with Sunset District leading 4-2, designated hitter Bill Bass hit a 2-run single. The hit came off John Lee and put the Fog ahead, 6-2.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Sunset District manager Raymond Thomas.
The Fog now own a record of 37-29.
