A 5-RBI performance from the 23-year old first baseman Maurice Wrightson helped the Baton Rouge Brass beat the Florida Men, 10-3. Paul Thomas collected save number 2. The second-place Brass have won 5 in a row.

Baton Rouge used the bat of Spencer Powell to get the win. The designated hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Brass ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"Enjoyed this one," Powell told the Baton Rouge Observer. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
