Bonilla Homers Twice in 9-5 Dogfish Head Win

The Milton Dogfish Head topped the Vermont Lake Monsters by a score of 9-5. Leading the way was third baseman Jesús Bonilla. Bonilla went 3 for 5 with 2 home runs and a triple, while scoring 3 and driving in 5 for the Dogfish Head. António López, the winning pitcher, is now 6-2. He went 5 innings, allowing 4 runs on 8 hits, while fanning 3 and walking 3. Claudio Ortega was credited with the save for Milton, his 2nd of the season.

Bonilla contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Milton in the top of the fourth. With his team trailing 4-2, Bonilla took a forkball from Ralph Hanscombe and stroked the home run to left-center. His 6th home run of the season allowed the Dogfish Head to leap in front, 5-4.
