Flyers Lose to Nobles in Walk Off
|
Nobles fans were treated to an exciting walk-off win.
Robert Moody never let the Flyers get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Nobles to a win, 5-1. Bakersfield leads the Premier AAA by 3 games.
Bakersfield won the game in the bottom of the ninth inning. With two outs and Myles Winters on the mound for Pennsauken, left fielder Tony Parra hit a dramatic grand slam home run, bringing Nobles fans to their feet.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Bakersfield manager Jesús Román. "It's usually not just one thing."
