The Alaskan Humpbacks beat the Monongahela Monsters, 6-4, at Sea World. The win was due in part to designated hitter John Simpson, who was 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. Kwang-sik Kang picked up the win, improving his season record to 2-2. He struck out 3 in 5 innings. Steven Crockett got the save, the 1st for him this season.

Gerrie Bond was 1 for 3 for Alaskan. The 33-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the second. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Gustaf Steur. It was his 5th RBI of the season.

"Feels good to get the job done," Simpson said after the game.
