The Alaskan Humpbacks got a superb performance from right fielder Don Clark. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Monongahela. The Monsters won the game, 7-4. Clark was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Beau Grant earned the win to go to 2-0. He allowed 4 runs on 5 hits, with 3 walks and 4 strikeouts in 6 innings of work. Monongahela has now won 6 games in a row.

Monongahela used the timely hitting of Brian Martin to seize the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Monsters on top, 5-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said Monongahela manager José González.
