Elijah Scott impressed in the 8-4 Austin win over Vermont. Scott, who is tied for 7th in the 3AAA in bases on balls with 18, was 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Austin pitcher Pat Pierce got the win. He's now 3-3. Sergio Castro was tagged with the loss. The triumph puts Austin at 25-13 for the season.

The Black Mambas got a big hit from left fielder An-te-hai Qing. In the bottom of the fifth, Qing pounded a 3-run home run to right. His 7th home run of the season put the Black Mambas ahead, 7-0.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Scott said.
