Tight Tilt Goes to Coyotes, 4-3
|
The Hamilton Coyotes beat the Nolensville Knights, 4-3, at Nolensville Park. The win was due in part to first baseman Imbart Baars, who went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. George Atwater finished to wrap up his 7th save. The Knights, now 16-16, have lost 4 in a row.
Hamilton relied on the bat of Maikel Nelis to get the win. The left fielder ripped a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Coyotes ahead, 4-3. For the game, Nelis had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
"We take it day by day here," said Baars, "and today was a good one for us."
