Butler Stars for Men in 11-8 Win
The 11-8 Florida win over Syracuse was due largely to Ed Butler. The Men first baseman went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Florida starter Luis Rodríguez was credited with the win after throwing 128 pitches over 8.1 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. Danny Antonio recorded his 2nd save for Florida.

Michael Wallace had an important at-bat with one out in the bottom of the fifth, when he hit a run-scoring double. His 1st double of the season put Florida on top, 6-5.

"I still think this team has room for improvement," Butler told the Florida Times.

With the win, Florida upped its record to 17-13.
