8 Straight Wins for Nobles
|
The Bakersfield Nobles extended their winning streak.
The Bakersfield Nobles beat the Salt Lake City Buzz, 8-1, at Spirits Stadium. Marvin Davenport, in particular, was impressive. He was 3-5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The Nobles, now 14-3, have been on fire in the early going.
Bakersfield used the timely hitting of Tim Wright to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Nobles on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
When asked about his performance after the game, Wright said: "Like everyone else, I'm just doing my job."
