Jamy Geertsen was a major contributor to the 13-5 Baton Rouge win over Sunset District. The Brass third baseman went 2-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. The win elevated the Brass to 18-9.

The Brass got an important contribution from catcher Pedro Rey, who in the bottom of the fourth hit a fastball into right for a bases-clearing double. It was his 1st double of the season and put the Brass ahead, 11-0.

"We've got a great group of guys," Rey said, "and we're having fun right now."
