No matter what the Syracuse Starks threw at him today, Al Custello hit it. He easily handled Starks pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Golden Cranes to a 9-2 triumph at Stark Stadium.

"The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview.

Told of Custello's quip, Starks skipper Ramón García said he "would take him up on that next time."

Al Custello hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 5th, doubled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.

So far this season Custello has put up a .284 batting average with 27 hits, 3 home runs and 15 RBIs.
