Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Athletic Club KC Reserves and Monongahela Monsters.

The Athletic Club KC Reserves trumped the Monongahela Monsters, 6-4, at Timber Hawks Ballpark. Athletic Club KC left fielder Ramiro Curran was terrific. He was 4 for 4 with a double and 3 singles. Athletic Club KC reliever Tom Matthews picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Yasunobu Suisha shouldered the loss.

In the top of the first, Greg Flynn ambushed a first pitch fastball from Yasunobu Suisha and hit a 2-run home run. It gave Athletic Club KC a quick 2-0 lead.

"I still think this team has room for improvement," Curran told the Athletic Club KC Herald.

The win takes Athletic Club KC to 8-6.
