Athletic Club KC starter Bill Torres pitched well against the Pennsauken Flyers at KC Reserve Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a win, 3-1. Gabel Ambrosius earned the save, his 1st. With the win, Athletic Club KC improves its record to 6-6.
Early in the game, catcher Sam Jones had a solo home run for Athletic Club KC. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Reserves on top, 2-1.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Torres said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
