The timely hitting of Alex Warner helped the Baton Rouge Brass down the Vermont Lake Monsters, 6-4. Warner went 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Brass. Wing-chiu Che, the winning pitcher, is now 2-0. He went 5.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits, while fanning 4 and walking 3. Carlos Rosado, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 6th save.

Warner contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Baton Rouge in the top of the third. With his team trailing 1-0, Warner took a slider from Bob Wheelock and stroked the home run to right. His 4th home run of the season allowed the Brass to leap in front, 3-1.

"I guess we'll all be a happy family for at least one day," said Warner.
