MacKichan Hits Two Dingers, Lake Monsters Win, 12-6
The Vermont Lake Monsters downed the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes, 12-6. The hitting star was designated hitter Eric MacKichan. MacKichan slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Lake Monsters. Santa Barbara is 5-3 after the loss.

Dave Young hit a 2-run triple off Jonathan Cooper in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Lake Monsters in front, 6-4. Young had 1 walk, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 4.

"This isn't football or hockey where you can overwhelm your opponents," Young told the Vermont Citizen. "Everyone gets 27 outs and we happened to make the most of them."
