Browns Earn 3-2 Win Versus White Walkers
|
Cleveland beat Buffalo on the strength of starter Hsiao-lou Lei's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 3-2. Cleveland reliever Mariano Bueno picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Isaac Patterson took the loss. Cleveland is 8th in the Third League with a record of 13-18.
The outcome might have been different for Cleveland, had it not been for Carlos Velardes, the 22-year old center fielder . Velardes stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put Cleveland up, 3-2. For the game, he was 2 for 3, including 1 double and 1 single.
"This was a tough loss," said Buffalo manager Chris Lau. "It'll stick in my craw for a while."
