Kingston Township Pins 4-2 Loss on White Walkers
|
The Kingston Township Knights topped the Buffalo White Walkers, 4-2, in Menard's Third League action at Beyond the Wall. The standout performance belonged to Kingston Township pitcher and Concord, New Hampshire, native Edgar Morales. Morales, now 2-0, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 4, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. Stu Searle got the save, the 2nd for him this season.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Olo Iukekini? The Kingston Township catcher had a run-scoring double in the top of the first inning to put the Knights on top, 2-0. For the game, Iukekini had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Morales.
The Knights have stumbled out of the gate, getting only their 4th win in 12 games.
