D.C. starter Scott Morrison had a strong outing against the Hollywood Shredders at The Hollywood Bowl. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 4-3 win. Wu-ti Xuan notched his 26th save in 30 chances. The Divided now have a mark of 47-61.
D.C. used the clutch hitting of Sam Bickerton to capture the win. The pinch hitter drilled a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Divided ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a big one.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Bickerton. "And not try to do too much."
