Hernández Cracks 5 Hits Tuesday, August 1st , 2045 Fans at Field of the Browns got to see not only a home-team victory today, but also one of the most impressive feats of hitting of the season. The Bompton Baby Lakers outplayed the Moose Jaw Canucks en route to a 8-7 win, but the standout was shortstop Esteban Hernández. Hernández netted 5 hits in 7 at-bats and finished with a dynamite game line. "Hey, we tried everything we could think of to get him out," Canucks manager Bobby Davis said in postgame comments. "We threw everything but the kitchen sink against him and he hit it. Maybe we should've thrown the sink, too." Esteban Hernández singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, struck out in the 6th, doubled in the 9th, walked in the 11th, struck out in the 12th and hit an RBI single in the 14th.
