Sirica Captures SR Award for Best Manager Monday, September 25th , 2045 John Sirica celebrated a successful season with the Plattsburgh Puffer Fish by hosting team officials and select media at a Plattsburgh area first-class eatery. But when he first came to town, the 2045 USSL Rookie Manager of the Year was met with a good measure of skepticism. "Very few people believed in our ballclub when I got here. It just goes to show you that a bunch of talented ballplayers playing together can make any old manager a genius," a modest Sirica joked, not fully recognizing his own stature in the baseball community. However, baseball journalists duly noted his managerial skill as he skippered the Puffer Fish to a 61-35 record this year and a first place finish in the Silver R. |
