Gilbert Gives Canonniers de Quebec Goose Eggs Sunday, August 20th , 2045 A favor to his bullpen. That's what Alan Gilbert was doing at Paints Ballpark today as he blanked the Canonniers de Quebec in a 9-inning complete game shutout. "I went out there to try to eat up innings and help out our bullpen," the Plattsburgh Puffer Fish right-hander said later. "I felt I had my good stuff, and it turned out my command was solid." Gilbert notched 11 strikeouts, surrendered 1 walk, allowed 4 hits, and kept the bullpen phone quiet all day long.
