3 Bombs for Gage Jump Wednesday, May 31st , 2045 Hudsonville Flanderses center fielder Gage Jump had a magnificent game against the Bethlehem Angel Kitties today, rocketing three balls out of Kittie Park to help the Flanderses take the 11-0 victory. "I got some good pitches to hit and I creamed them," he said after the game. "The first was a big, fat fastball and the last two were hanging curves. All three were mistakes." For the game, Jump went 3-for-5 with 5 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "There's a fine line between hitting home runs and line drives," Hudsonville manager Mark Davis said later. "Seems like Gage found his home run stroke today." Gage Jump hit a two-run home run off Wessel de Best in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, struck out in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Gil McCarthy in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Nolan Robert in the 8th. So far this year Jump is batting .327 with 6 home runs. |
