Silva Grabs PAA Reliever of the Year Award Saturday, October 7th , 2045 Luis Silva was a calming influence out of the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles bullpen this season. His teammates and manager said he had a poised demeanor about him that was typical of someone much older and more experienced. His poise has paid off, as the 23-year-old turned in a sparkling season and has been named the winner of the USPL Double A Reliever of the Year Award for 2045. The Mexico City, Mexico native won the award with 2 saves in 27 relief appearances, 69 strikeouts in 71.2 innings and a record of 6-0 to go with his 2.01 ERA. He received 8 first place votes out of a possible 10. Joe Gregg of the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks finished second in voting with 2 first place votes, while Keiran Dalley of the Athletic Club KC Academy finished third.
