Injury Sidelines Carl Zimerman for Season Friday, August 25th , 2045 The doctors have spoken and Carl Zimerman of the Athletic Club KC Academy didn't like what he heard. The 24-year-old second baseman is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Zimerman sustained his season-ending injury during the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks game yesterday at Thunder Hawks Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while running the bases. Today the Athletic Club KC Academy medical staff reported Zimerman had a torn back muscle and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4 months. On the year Zimerman has hit .253 with 2 home runs, 11 RBIs and scored 21 runs. |
