USPL Double A Selects Best Performer Monday, August 21st , 2045 27-year-old Dermott Mann made a few Ft. Polk South headlines during this past week as the rookie catcher proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and USPL Double A officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 11 hits in 19 at-bats to put up a .579 average. Mann collected 6 home runs, 9 RBIs and scored 7 runs. This year Mann has hit 23 home runs and posted a .305 batting average. |
