Polk South pitching staff in ruins at Thunder Hawks Ballpark today, beating the Thunder Hawks 19-0 with a prodigious three-home run performance. "The last one was totally unexpected," Cunningham told reporters at the press conference following his big game. "I just wanted to make good contact, never thinking I would get a home run, and bang, I got number three." For the game, the Squirrel Hill first baseman had 3 hits in 3 at-bats, drove in 9 and scored 4 runs. Adam Cunningham hit a three-run home run off Carlson Foolscrow in the 1st, hit a GRAND SLAM off Carlson Foolscrow in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, walked in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Roberto Córdova in the 7th, walked in the 8th and walked in a run in the 9th. This season Cunningham is hitting .261 with 48 hits, 14 home runs, 35 RBIs, scored 24 runs and played in 51 games. |
