#1 SAA Hurler Named Sunday, October 8th , 2045 The Marquette Miners have a rising superstar or maybe even a budding Hall-of-Famer in the making. It's Archie MacMurchy, this year's USSL Double A Outstanding Pitcher Award selection. This blossoming hurler wowed fans, peers and sportswriters with a fabulous performance. MacMurchy compiled a 7-9 record in 22 starts, tallied 151 strikeouts in 130.2 innings and recorded a 3.03 ERA. Other clubs managed only a .221 batting average against him. He received 5 first place votes out of a possible 10. Perry Cox of the Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas finished second in voting with 4 first place votes, while Tommaso Cugnoni of the Gwinnett Guinea Pigs finished third.
