Burnett Picked SAA Player of the Week Monday, September 11th , 2045 26-year-old Steve Burnett made a few Ottawa headlines during this past week as the rookie left fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and USSL Double A officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 7 hits in 11 at-bats to put up a .636 average. Burnett collected 3 home runs, 5 RBIs and scored 6 runs. This year Burnett has socked 65 hits in 324 at-bats for a .201 average with 11 home runs. He is getting on base at a .271 pace and his totals also include 33 RBIs and 39 runs scored. |
