Gulf Coast Starter Wins September's Pitcher Award Saturday, October 1st , 2044 There's something about a young rookie winning the USSL Double A Pitcher of the Month trophy that sends shock waves through the league. Such is the case with Arturo Sánchez, a 22-year-old starter for the Gulf Coast Turbeaus. In September, he topped off the month with a 3-0 mark and 2.00 ERA in 3 starts, tossed 18 innings, fanned 11 and held opposing teams to a .257 average. Sánchez has a career won-loss record of 7 wins and 2 losses with 52 strikeouts in 89.2 innings and a 4.62 ERA. |
