Abood Grabs SAAA Reliever of the Year Award Thursday, October 5th , 2045 The Hialeah Dodos will no doubt have to pony up some big cash if they want to keep star reliever Ed Abood. That's because the 32-year-old today was named the USSL Triple A Reliever of the Year Award winner for 2045. As it stands now, he's heading for free agency unless his team can put forward an extension offer. As of yet, there's been no word about an impending deal. Abood captured the award with a 2.20 ERA this season over 41 innings of work. He made 30 relief appearances and had 3 saves, 41 strikeouts, 18 walks and a record of 2 and 3. Opposing hitters managed only a .211 against him. He received 5 first place votes out of a possible 10. Fred Bridges of the Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds finished second in voting with 5 first place votes, while Hugh Hudson of the Kansas Rainbeaus finished third.
