Chaundler Boosts Hit Streak to 20 Games Friday, June 30th , 2045 Bill Chaundler, first baseman for the Salt Lake City Buzz, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games with 2 hits in his club's 9-2 victory today over the Sacramento Redlegs at Spirits Stadium today. "I don't really know why it's even happening," he said with a grin after the game. "So asking me how long I can keep it up is kind of irrelevant. It'll end when it ends." Bill Chaundler flied out in the 1st, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a three-run double in the 7th and grounded out in the 8th. A look at his current stats shows Chaundler with a .366 average, 6 home runs, 25 RBIs and 16 runs scored. He has played in 25 games. |
