Black Mambas Star Wins 2045 Outstanding Pitcher Award

This past season was very special for George Crane of the Austin Black Mambas. He picked up 11 wins against only 4 losses and was chosen the winner of the 2045 M3L Triple A Outstanding Pitcher Award.

The 25-year-old Black Mambas ace fashioned a fine 2.77 ERA in 17 starts. He threw 117 innings, gave up 85 hits, 46 walks and held opponents to a .203 average. Crane fanned 89 batters this season.

He received 12 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Marvin Stevens of the Vermont Lake Monsters finished second in voting, while Phil Stephens of the Port Huron Blitzkrieg finished third.
