Black Mambas Sweep 3L AAA Championship Sunday, September 24th , 2045 The Austin Black Mambas ignited a huge celebration as they beat the Vermont Lake Monsters 5-2 to win the 3L AAA Championship. Austin won the series 3-0, capturing the title for the 1st time. "We stepped it up at the right time, and now we're the champs," said Austin manager Juan Cuestas. "It's a great feeling." The champs finished the regular season 64-38 and claimed first place in the Menard's AAA. In the jubilant clubhouse after the decisive game, series MVP and center fielder Denny Wolfe said the Black Mambas have "great fans and they deserve this."
