League Suspends Calhoun and Iwata for Fisticuffs Saturday, September 2nd , 2045 Tony Calhoun of Austin and Shoichi Iwata of Forest City were the main participants in a recent bench-clearing brawl and today the league handed out its punishment. Calhoun will have to miss 4 games for his part in the brawl, while Iwata was given 6 games. League officials announced their suspensions today. So far this season, Calhoun has recorded a .294 batting average with 53 hits, no home runs, 22 RBIs, 22 runs scored and a .333 OBP. This year Iwata has worked 33 innings with 26 strikeouts en route to a 1-1 record and a 3.82 ERA. |
