Florida Halts Nelis's Hitting Steak Thursday, August 24th , 2045 Jochen Nelis's 20-game hitting streak was snapped today at Psychos Ballpark. The 23-year-old Austin Black Mambas shortstop failed to get a hit in 5 at-bats in the game against the Florida Men, but Austin came out the winner, 8-2. "I don't think the streak was ever a big deal to Jochen," Black Mambas manager Juan Cuestas said after the game. "He ain't that type of guy. He just wants to help the team win ballgames." Nelis is currently hitting at a .326 pace with 4 home runs and 49 RBIs. |
