Nelis Sizzles with 20-Game Batting Streak Wednesday, August 23rd , 2045 Jochen Nelis collected 4 hits in today's game and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. His club, the Austin Black Mambas, beat the Florida Men 10-5. "Right now, when they throw me the ball, it looks the size of a softball," Nelis quipped to a BNN reporter after the game. "I'm excited about how things are clicking." Jochen Nelis singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, doubled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th. Thus far this year Nelis has hit .330 with 4 home runs and 49 RBIs. |
