Ernest Bonner Injured, Out for Year Thursday, July 13th , 2045 Ernest Bonner of the River Rats just might have to call it quits for the season. The 21-year-old Columbia second baseman received a possible season-ending injury against the Washington Generals recently at Washington Park. Bonner suffered a torn back muscle while running the bases. The River Rats medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 4-5 months. During the current season Bonner is batting at a .206 clip with no home runs and 11 RBIs. He has played in 44 games and scored 11 times. |
